The Gifting Confidence Guide
How to Buy a Ring Without Knowing the Size: Your Ultimate Jewellery Gifting Guide
The Most Cherished Gifts are a Perfect Fit
Buying a piece of fine jewellery is an act of love, but let’s be honest: it comes with two big worries—getting the size right and nailing the style. While our collections make the style part easy (more on that later), we know that sizing can be the biggest barrier to buying that perfect surprise gift.
We’ve compiled our expert tips and safety nets below, ensuring your chosen piece is a seamless, perfect fit this Christmas.
📏 The Sizing Solution: Getting the Fit Right
The secret to successful gifting is having a simple plan and the right tools.
For Rings (The Tricky Part)
We are here to help you get the size spot on, the first time.
The Sizer Offer (Recommended Tool): If you are unsure of the size, you can purchase one of our physical ring sizers for a small fee. This fee will then be fully credited against any jewellery order over £150. This ensures you have the exact measurement before committing to your gift, eliminating guesswork.
Sizing Safety: While resizing is possible for most designs, we recommend getting the size right initially as resizing carries a fee. If you need a different size after purchase, please contact us about our resizing service (fees apply).
The Sneaky Tactic: Can you secretly borrow a ring they already wear on the correct finger? If so, we highly recommend taking it to a local jeweller to confirm the measurement accurately. Professional tools offer the most reliable result.
For Necklaces & Bracelets
Choosing necklaces and bracelets is far easier, especially with our custom services:
Custom Fit Guarantee: We can add an extender to any of our necklaces or even make them to the recipient's particular size. Just send us an email after placing your order to specify the length you need.
Standard Lengths: For quick reference, 16" chains are great for a high, delicate fit; 18" is the most popular classic length.
