Rose Gold, The Increasing Popularity
Posted on
I have been designing and making jewellery for nineteen years, yet it has only been in the past two or three years that customers have started to request rose gold jewellery especially when it comes to bespoke engagement and wedding rings. Before this I have to confess that we had never worked with rose gold.
As a designer and owner of Nude Jewellery I have to keep up with the latest trends within the jewellery industry and this is one of the largest new trends in many years. Rose gold within the mainstream is still probably an unusual option, roughly one in five of the engagement rings we make are now rose gold but we are known for our more unusual designs.
Rose gold has a warmth to it that suits many skin tones, it has a beautiful softness to it especially in 18 carat gold where the copper content is less than in 9 carat. It also seems rose gold is so popular that it has spilt over into home accessories, furniture and even rose gold metallic nail varnish!
Here are some images of rose gold jewellery that we have made for customers over the past few year's and jewellery that designs that make to order. We hope you are inspired.
